Location

Located just 200 metres from the banks of the river Arno, Hotel Grifone is in a strategic position for visiting the city. Bellariva is a quiet residential area of Florence, where you will find typical Tuscan Trattorias; from April to October, there are also outdoor Bars and Restaurants set up along the banks of the river Arno where you can enjoy an aperitif or dinner, while enjoying the view of the city.

A nice walk along the river Arno will take you to the historic town centre in 30 minutes, while the no. 14 Bus (bus stop 30m from the hotel) will take you to the Cathedral in 15 minutes. T
hanks to the location, you can walk to the Tuscany Hall and the Mandela Forum in 15 minutes and in 20 minutes you can reach the Artemio Franchi Stadium, venues for concerts and events.

The location is also ideal for anyone who loves jogging, with specific routes available along the river Arno towards the city or towards the hills of Settignano.

Once you have arrived at the Santa Maria Novella-Florence railway station, take the no. 14 bus to our hotel (20 minutes). It stops in the nearby Via Quintino Sella (the "Sella Bellariva" bus stop), 4 minutes from Hotel Grifone. Taxi service available (15 minutes).
|| By plane

From the Amerigo Vespucci-Peretola-Florence airport, Hotel Grifone is about 9 km away and can be reached in 25 minutes by taxi or 45 minutes by shuttle bus or tram, which stops in Piazza della Stazione (from here, take a taxi or the no. 14 bus-see the "By train” section).

Travelling along the A1 motorway (Milan-Naples), take the Firenze Sud exit and follow the directions for the centre of Florence. When you reach the river Arno area, cross Ponte a Varlungo, keeping to the left and, after 200 metres, enter into Lungarno Aldo Moro. After 500 metres, turn right into Via Di Bellariva and, at the end of this road, turn left into Via Aretina. After 100 metres, turn left into Via Pilati and you will find the hotel 40 metres down the road, on your left.
